A Happy, Healthy Gut & Introduction to Fermenting – Sunday 15 October 2023
Willunga
11.00am – 3.00pm
Are you keen to understand all the excitement about gut health and why it's important for you?
Have you always wanted to make your own fermented foods, but not quite sure how to get started at home?
In this workshop, we’ll explore how gut health influences every imaginable aspect of your health and mood, and how eating fermented foods and making a few simple tweaks to your daily eating can help to feed the diverse and balanced population of good bacteria that your gut needs.
We’ll demonstrate making a range of ferments and other recipes for gut health, and then you’ll have some fun making your own jar of fermented veggies to take home, before finishing the afternoon with a gut-friendly feast.
Your workshop includes:
discussion of current research on gut health and its influence on your overall health and wellbeing
lots of opportunities to chat and ask questions about fermenting and how to eat for a happy, healthy gut
a mix of demonstration and hands-on cooking, including making your own ferment to take home
printed copy of all recipes and notes to take home
shared gut-friendly lunch with a glass of local, natural wine.
